Where Your Concern Is Our Concern

The Schuyllkill River is an important river to its surrounding lands. It is notable for its rich history and host to popular watersport events. The Fairmont Water Works, currently located in fairmont park, was once the source of Philidelphia's entire water supply. Currently, the Dad Vail Regatta, an annual rowing competition, is held near Boathouse Row. Located entirely in Pennsylvania, the Schuyllkill is about 130 miles long and runs from the Appalachian Mountains to the Delaware River. Today, the river is lined with the signs of blusterous society - the Strawberry Mansion Bridge, the Limerick nuclear power plant, Valley Forge National Historical Park, and the Philidelphia Naval Yard.
